Europe’s biggest low cost carrier Ryanair adds another new destination from Lappeenranta. During summer season 2019 Ryanair offers flights to Milan Bergamo (Wednesdays and Saturdays), to Athens (Wednesdays) and to Thessaloniki (Thursdays). Flights to all three destinations commence in April.
Due to earlier start of Athens route and the new route to Thessaloniki, Ryanair’s total seat capacity from Lappeenranta will grow by 40% compared to summer season 2018.
Seaside city Thessaloniki in northern Greece is the second largest city in Greece with a population of 1 Million inhabitants and it is one of the oldest cities in Europe. Beautiful holiday destinations like Halkidiki and Kavala can be easily reached via Thessaloniki.

Ryanair’s tempting low fares and our joint marketing actions have supported this development. Passengers have found Lappeenranta Airport as an easy gateway to Finland and to exciting metropolis of St. Petersburg, which is only 2 hours away from Lappeenranta Airport,” Eija Joro continues.
